Une vue généralement en cours sur les catégories syntactiques en Akan est que la langue recèle des éléments postposés plutôt que préposés. Bien que certains auteurs reconnaissent l’origine nominale de ces formes, c’est leur positionnement dans les constructions qui fait qu’ils soient classifiés comme des éléments postposés. Le but de cet article est de montrer qu’il vaut mieux traiter ces formes comme nominales—plus précisément, comme des noms relayeurs.
